WEBMay 7, 2007 · The MFB had that cast cutter guard (M122) overarm was further supported by another set of M645 clamping devices in the outboard part of that cast guard. These are pretty rare. The deal is that the overarm support to the milling arbor was different (M18) . The newer MFC dispenced with the cutter guard and used M160 arbor support.

WEBDec 15, 2017 · Registered. Correction we DO have the 2step and the 3step spindle and countershaft pulley drawings as well as the drawing for the modifiion to the small spindle back gear. But we do not have the drawings for the 4step which have a part number beginning with M6 because they started life as parts for the various early 6" lathes.

WEBDec 26, 2009 · Mill spindle is 1"x10 thread, Morse Taper 2. Most tooling for MT2 is tapped 3/8"x16 for the drawbar. There are two round notches in genuine Atlas milling arbors and these mate with pins that protrude from a threadon spindle drive adaptor to keep the arbor from slipping in the taper when driving a milling cutter.

If Atlas gears are not available, gears are gears and any stock gears of the same pitch and pressure angle will work although modifiion of the width and hub might be necessary. They can be shop made or purchased from many sources.
